Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, particularly upgrades and migrations. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, aligning project goals with business objectives, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines, and maintaining strong stakeholder communication at all levels. The candidate must possess strong technical understanding, leadership ability, and experience in handling complex IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment Develop and manage project plans, charters, schedules, and implementation strategies Ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget constraints Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies Stakeholder Management Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders Conduct executive and steering committee meetings Communicate project status, risks, and progress updates effectively Resource & Team Management Build and lead high-performing project teams Assign and monitor resources to maximize efficiency and output Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and performance Process & Governance Establish and maintain project lifecycle processes Define quality and performance standards Monitor compliance with project governance frameworks Budget & Performance Management Develop and manage project budgets and operational plans Track project performance and optimize ROI Ensure delivery meets customer satisfaction, quality, and team performance goals Tools & Methodologies Utilize tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Kanban boards Implement Agile/Scrum practices where applicable Manage change requests and ensure project alignment with business strategy

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management Proven experience in IT Infrastructure Projects (Upgrade & Migration) Strong technical understanding of: Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris Databases: MS SQL, Oracle Expertise in: Microsoft Project planning JIRA, Kanban, Azure DevOps (ADO) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders Preferred Skills & Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification Experience with Cloud-based projects Hands-on experience delivering infra upgrade and migration projects Scrum Master experience or Agile certification Experience building internal platforms or process improvements
