The site storekeeper controls the receipt, storage, and issuance of technical spares, tools, chemicals, and safety gear required for daily drilling, construction, or plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Material Receipt & Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, check quantities against delivery challans/purchase orders, and inspect items for damage or defects.
- Inventory Control: Maintain computerized records using systems like SAP Materials Management or ERP software, tracking stock levels via the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Site Issuance: Issue tools, mechanical spares, and consumables to authorized site personnel based on approved requisition slips.
- Safety & Hazardous Storage: Handle volatile, flammable,



or hazardous chemicals according to environmental guidelines, maintaining up-to-date Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct routine physical stock counts, reconcile system records with actual inventory, and report damaged or missing goods
