LA Language Academy is looking for a Social Media Manager with excellent English skills, in-depth platform knowledge, and a proven record of growing social media accounts.

You will manage our social media presence, oversee content planning and publishing, and grow our audience across India, Australia, and other international markets.

Key responsibilities

- Manage Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.

- Own the content calendar and coordinate timely publishing of posts, reels, stories, shorts, and long-form videos.

- Create platform-specific strategies based on audience behaviour, content formats, and performance.

- Write and proofread compelling captions, hooks, video titles, descriptions, and calls to action.

- Brief and coordinate designers, video editors, copywriters, and teaching teams to produce engaging, accurate content.

- Develop content around educational tips, student questions, success stories, courses, and product features.

- Drive measurable organic growth in relevant followers, reach, views, watch time, shares, saves, and engagement.

- Monitor comments and messages, maintain a consistent brand voice, and coordinate timely responses to student enquiries.

- Identify relevant trends, analyse competitors, and test current content ideas.

- Use analytics to explain performance and recommend specific improvements.

- Work closely with the marketing manager to support campaigns, launches, and business goals.

Essential skills and experience

- 3–5 years of professional social media management experience.

- Demonstrated success managing and growing accounts across multiple platforms.

- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong copywriting, proofreading,



and communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of platform algorithms, content discovery, audience behaviour, publishing features, and analytics.

- Strong understanding of short-form video, storytelling, hooks, thumbnails, and audience retention.

- Experience using content calendars, scheduling tools, and social media reporting tools.

- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into better content and measurable growth.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate creative teams and meet deadlines.

- Practical knowledge of AI tools for content research, ideation, and productivity.

Highly preferred

- Experience in education, EdTech, online learning, or student-focused brands.

- Experience reaching international audiences, particularly India and Australia.

- Knowledge of YouTube SEO, social media search optimisation, and community building.

- Experience with creator collaborations and turning engagement into enquiries and subscriptions.
