Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer – Instrumentation to join our Design & Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for instrumentation design, selection of instruments, preparation of technical drawings and documentation, and coordination with engineering, project, production, and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare instrumentation design and engineering documents as per project requirements.
Develop and review Instrumentation Layouts, Hook-up Drawings, Instrument Index and I/O Lists.
Prepare P&IDs;, Instrumentation Drawings, Cable Schedules and Termination Details.
Select suitable instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level and analytical instruments based on process requirements.
Prepare Instrument Datasheets, Specifications and Technical Specifications.
Prepare Junction Box, Cable Tray and Instrument Installation Details.
Review vendor drawings, technical offers and instrumentation documents.
Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Projects, Production and Procurement teams.
Support preparation of BOQ/MTO and estimation of instrumentation requirements.
Ensure designs comply with applicable project specifications, standards and customer requirements.




Participate in design reviews and resolve technical issues related to instrumentation.
Maintain proper documentation and revision control of engineering drawings.
Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with clients and vendors whenever required for technical clarifications.
Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering and Industrial Automation.
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and instrumentation design software/tools.
Knowledge of P&ID;, Instrument Index, I/O List, Hook-up Drawings and Cable Schedule.
Understanding of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and field instrumentation.
Knowledge of instrument selection, specifications and installation practices.
Good understanding of industrial instrumentation standards and practices.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics or related Engineering discipline.
Preferred Experience
Experience in industrial projects, process plants, manufacturing, automation, skid/package equipment or instrumentation system design will be preferred.
