Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in SPM Design, Fixture Design, and Cavity Design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD and be capable of independently handling mechanical design activities from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design and develop fixtures, jigs, tooling, and machine components.
- Handle cavity design based on component and customer requirements.
- Develop accurate fixture and cavity concepts considering component positioning, clamping, alignment, clearance, and accessibility.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, component drawings, and BOM.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into practical mechanical designs.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, electrical, and automation teams.
- Review designs for dimensions, tolerances, fits, clearances, and manufacturability.
- Modify and improve designs based on assembly, testing, and customer feedback.




- Support the machine assembly and trial process and resolve design-related issues.
- Independently handle design projects and provide technical support to junior designers.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of SPM Design and Industrial Automation.
- Hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong experience in Fixture Design and Cavity Design.
- Knowledge of Jigs, tooling, machine mechanisms, pneumatic components, and mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to identify design problems and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Experience

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in SPM / Automation / Machine Design.
- Proven experience in fixture and cavity design.
- Strong practical knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in developing designs suitable for fabrication, machining, assembly, and production.
