Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer with over 5 years of specialized experience in estimating and costing for both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HT) panels.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing technical specifications, preparing accurate techno-commercial bids, and optimizing costs to help secure competitive projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Estimation & Costing

- Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for LV (e.g., PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD panels) and HT (e.g., VCB, RMU, GIS panels) switchgears.
- Prepare accurate cost estimations, including raw materials, components (breakers, busbars, enclosures, relays), engineering labor, and manufacturing overheads.
- Design optimized single-line diagrams (SLDs) and general arrangement (GA) drawings during the bidding stage to determine material requirements.

Vendor Management & Sourcing

- Sustain relationships with component vendors (such as Schneider, ABB, Siemens, L&T;) to secure competitive pricing for specialized parts.
- Float inquiries to suppliers and float technical comparative statements to evaluate the best commercial options.

Bid Management & Risk Evaluation

- Compile comprehensive techno-commercial proposals and ensure timely submission of tenders.
- Identify potential technical risks or ambiguities in tender documents and raise pre-bid queries to mitigate financial deviations.




- Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients and consultants to defend the submitted design and cost.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Hand over successful bids to the design, production, and procurement teams, ensuring a seamless transition of the technical scope.
- Value-engineer existing designs to offer cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or compliance standards.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience strictly dedicated to the estimation of LV and HT electrical panels.

Technical Competencies

- Deep knowledge of switchgear components, protection relays, metering, and busbar sizing calculations.
- Thorough understanding of electrical standards such as IEC, IS, and IEEE relevant to panel manufacturing and safety.
- Proficiency in estimation software, advanced MS Excel, and AutoCAD for reviewing electrical drawings.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interface effectively with clients and vendors.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tender submissions simultaneously.
