Work Model: RemoteRole OverviewWe are looking for experienced Full Stack Engineer Pod Leads to lead engineering pods within a large enterprise application development and modernization program.The role requires a strong hands-on technical leader who can combine software engineering expertise with delivery ownership. The Pod Lead will guide a team of engineers, own technical execution within the pod, ensure engineering quality, remove delivery bottlenecks, and work closely with architects, product owners, program leadership, QA, and other delivery teams.This is not a purely managerial role. Candidates are expected to remain technically hands-on and capable of participating in design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and complex development activities.Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical delivery of a full stack engineering pod.
- Own solution design and development across Java, JavaScript, APIs, and relational databases.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Provide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to engineers within the pod.
- Develop and review backend services and APIs using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Guide frontend development using JavaScript and relevant frontend frameworks.
- Review database design, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access approaches.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
- Resolve complex application, integration, database, and production issues.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks early.
- Work with architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and modernization standards.
- Collaborate with product owners and program teams on estimation, sprint planning, and delivery commitments.




- Drive engineering quality including unit testing, code quality, security, scalability, and performance.
- Mentor engineers and support capability development within the pod.
- Participate in and, where required, facilitate Agile ceremonies.
- Support deployments, production releases, and critical production incidents.
- Provide transparent delivery status, risks, dependencies, and escalation inputs to program leadership.

Required Technical SkillsMandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java / Java/J2EE.
- Advanced experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
- Strong JavaScript experience.
- Strong experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs / Web Services.
- Good understanding of application architecture and software design patterns.
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with microservices-based applications.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience conducting technical design and code reviews.

Preferred Skills

- React or Angular.
- Hibernate / JPA.
- Kafka or other messaging platforms.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD pipelines.

Leadership & Delivery Experience

- 9+ years of overall software development experience.
- Prior experience leading a development team or engineering pod.
- Ability to lead approximately 4–8 engineers within a delivery pod.
- Strong experience estimating work and managing sprint commitments.
- Ability to identify technical dependencies, risks, and blockers.
- Experience mentoring developers and improving engineering quality.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on engineering responsibilities with team leadership
