Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4–5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate should have thorough knowledge of mechanical execution, construction activities, equipment installation, and multidisciplinary EPC project coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical execution activities at site, ensuring that work is completed safely, within schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical construction and installation activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Coordinate mechanical execution activities for static and rotating equipment, including installation, alignment, inspection, testing, and commissioning support.
- Coordinate with Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and interpret GA drawings, equipment drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, P&IDs;, mechanical specifications, and vendor documents.
- Ensure equipment installation is carried out as per approved drawings, manufacturer recommendations, project specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
- Supervise activities related to installation of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, tanks, package equipment, and other mechanical systems.




- Coordinate mechanical interfaces with piping and other disciplines and resolve site-related technical issues.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, punch-point clearance, and documentation.
- Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and mechanical completion activities.
- Ensure proper completion of inspection records, checklists, test reports, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
- Raise and resolve RFIs, technical queries, site issues, and engineering clarifications in coordination with engineering and project teams.
- Monitor daily and weekly progress of mechanical works and coordinate with the planning team for schedule adherence.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party agencies during equipment installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure all mechanical execution activities comply with HSE requirements and applicable Oil & Gas industry standards.
- Attend site coordination meetings and provide regular updates on progress, constraints, material requirements, and technical issues.
- Support project management in achieving schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.

Technical Knowledge & Skills





- Robust knowledge of mechanical construction and execution activities in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Good understanding of static and rotating equipment installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as:
- Pressure Vessels
- Heat Exchangers
- Pumps
- Compressors
- Tanks
- Columns
- Package Equipment
- Good understanding of piping and mechanical interfaces.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, GA drawings, equipment drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, and vendor drawings.
- Knowledge of equipment alignment, grouting, leveling, installation, hydrotesting, flushing, cleaning, and commissioning activities.
- Familiarity with relevant Oil & Gas codes, standards, specifications, and construction practices.
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection requirements, and mechanical completion documentation.
- Good knowledge of HSE requirements and safe work practices in Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical execution/construction, preferably with an Oil & Gas EPC contractor, engineering company, or project organization.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary EPC projects is essential.
- Candidates with experience in refineries, petrochemical plants, gas processing facilities, LNG/LPG projects, terminals, pipelines, or other Oil & Gas facilities will be preferred.
