Build games that kids actually want to play
We’re starting a new company to build fun, clever, physical and digital games for kids.
Think CrunchLabs meets KiwiCo: products that are genuinely entertaining, but also make kids curious, creative and excited to figure things out.
We’re looking for an exceptional engineer who also loves games, puzzles and building things.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your days implementing someone else’s designs.
You’ll help us figure out what to build in the first place.
What you’ll do
You’ll work across engineering and game design, including:
- Designing and building games from scratch
- Turning simple ideas into genuinely fun gameplay
- Prototyping rapidly and testing ideas with kids
- Building the underlying software, electronics or physical mechanisms needed to make games work
- Thinking about game mechanics, progression, difficulty and replayability
- Working closely with designers and founders to take ideas from “wouldn’t it be cool if…” to something kids can't put down
- Helping establish the technical architecture and development practices for the company
You might build a digital game one week, a physical puzzle the next, and a weird combination of the two after that.
Who we're looking for
You are an excellent engineer first, but you have a genuine interest in games and play.
You might be:
- A software engineer who has built games as a hobby
- A game developer who is unusually solid technically
- An engineer who loves puzzles, robotics,
electronics or making physical things
- Someone who has built apps, games, toys or side projects simply because you thought they would be fun
We care much more about what you have built than whether your CV follows a particular path.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity, excited by rapid prototyping and able to move between “How do we build this?” and “Is this actually fun?”
The bar is high
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely exceptional at their craft.
You should be able to take a vague idea, work out how to make it real, and then improve it through iteration.
We're particularly interested in people who can show us things they've built.
Send us your GitHub, games, side projects, prototypes, robots, apps, toys, websites, or anything else you're proud of.
It doesn't need to be polished.
We'd rather see something weird and interesting that you built on a weekend than another perfectly formatted CV.
Why join?
This is an early-stage company, so you'll have an unusual amount of influence over what we build and how we build it.
You'll help define:
- The products
- The technology
- The game design philosophy
- The engineering culture
- Ultimately, the company itself
The goal is simple:
Build things that make kids say, “Can I try it again?”
If that sounds like the kind of engineering problem you want to work on, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
