Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical systems used in industrial cranes and hoists.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with electrical systems, VFDs, control panels, motors, sensors, and safety systems, along with the ability to interact with customers and respond to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and commission electrical systems and components for cranes and hoists.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Handle wiring and connections of motors, controllers, VFDs, sensors, limit switches, and safety devices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and equipment health check-ups.
- Inspect electrical components such as contactors, relays, limit switches, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in cranes and hoists.
- Analyze VFD error codes and program logs to identify issues.
- Repair or replace faulty motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and other electrical components.
- Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and restore equipment operation with minimum downtime.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and basic training to customers, crane operators,



and maintenance teams.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, inspection reports, and spare-parts requirements.
- Identify recurring issues and participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for spare parts, repairs, and service requirements.
- Stay updated on electrical technologies, crane control systems, and maintenance practices.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in electrical maintenance/service engineering.
- Experience in industrial equipment, cranes, hoists, or heavy machinery is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with VFDs and industrial control systems.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including LOTO.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle breakdowns and emergency service situations.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
