Oracle Utilities Managed Services Manager
You’ll lead the delivery of production support and managed services for Oracle Utilities applications, serving as the key link between customers, business teams, technical teams, and offshore support resources. Your success will be measured by service stability, SLA performance, effective issue resolution, and your ability to continuously improve how support is delivered.
This is a hands-on service leadership role. You’ll need to balance customer expectations, production priorities, technical dependencies, and distributed teams—particularly when critical incidents or releases require quick, well-informed decisions.
What you’ll do
- Own the delivery of Oracle Utilities managed services, ensuring reliable production support and consistent achievement of agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Lead the response to critical incidents, recurring problems, changes, and releases, bringing the right business and technical teams together to restore service and reduce repeat issues.
- Build strong working relationships with customer stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for service performance, priorities, escalations, and operational concerns.
- Lead and coordinate offshore and distributed support teams, setting clear priorities and ensuring issues are owned through resolution.
- Use incident trends, root-cause analysis, and service data to identify recurring problems and drive preventive actions, automation, and process improvements.
- Lead operational governance and service reviews, providing clear reporting on performance, risks, open issues, improvement actions, and upcoming releases or maintenance activities.
- Support the transition of new projects and enhancements into managed services through structured knowledge transfer, readiness planning, and post-production stabilization.
What you’ll need
Must-haves
- 7-10 years of experience in Managed Services.
- Robust hands-on experience supporting Oracle Utilities applications in production environments.
- Experience leading production support or managed services teams with responsibility for service delivery, SLAs, and customer escalations.
- Working knowledge of ITIL-based Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly during high-priority production issues.
- Good understanding of Oracle Utilities application architecture, integrations, and production support dependencies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading geographically distributed or offshore support teams.
- Experience with service transition, production releases, and stabilization of new implementations or major enhancements.
- Experience using automation, monitoring, or service analytics to improve operational efficiency and application reliability.
