ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Equipment Maintenance & Operations:

- Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of production and laboratory equipment
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur
- Maintain detailed equipment records, maintenance logs, and service history
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components

Team Management:

- Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and support staff
- Assign maintenance tasks and monitor progress and quality of work
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to maintenance staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and coordinate professional development

Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company policies
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols for maintenance operations
- Conduct safety audits and investigations for maintenance-related incidents
- Maintain OSHA compliance and coordinate safety training programs

Planning & Documentation:

- Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures
- Track maintenance KPIs and provide performance reports to Manager
- Identify and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements
- Document maintenance procedures and update maintenance manuals

Facility Management:

- Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems
- Ensure facility cleanliness and proper functioning of all building systems
- Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for specialized maintenance

- Continuous Improvement: Commitment to identifying and implementing process improvements

- Maintain availability of the equipment according to the KPIs defined and if necessary, propose equipment improvement or new equipment

- Manage the spares stocks

Education:

- Relevant bachelor's degree

Experience:

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management or operations

- Proven track record of managing maintenance teams and achieving KPIs

- Experience in optical/laboratory equipment maintenance is an advantage

- Experience with CMMS software and preventive maintenance planning

- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant quality and safety standards

- Optical qualifications and experience an advantage
- Digitally engaged
- Good knowledge of machine repairing and their equipment’s.

Essential Skills Required:

- In-depth knowledge of machinery, equipment, and maintenance best practices

- Advanced computer and MS Office skills

- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) - minimum mid-level

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
