Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist with experience in US healthcare revenue cycle management. The candidate will be responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments, adjustments, denials, and contractual write-offs into the billing system while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Post EOBs (Explanation of Benefits), ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advice), and insurance payments accurately.
- Post patient payments received through checks, credit cards, EFTs, and other payment methods.
- Apply payments and adjustments to the appropriate patient accounts and claims.
- Review EOBs/ERAs for payment details, contractual adjustments, denials, deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments.
- Identify and resolve unapplied, unidentified, and misapplied payments.
- Handle payment posting for Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and other US healthcare payers.
- Reconcile posted payments with bank deposits and payment reports.
- Identify payment discrepancies and escalate issues when required.
- Process refunds, recoupments, and takebacks according to client/payer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with client SOPs.
- Coordinate with AR,



denial management, and billing teams to resolve account discrepancies.
- Meet defined quality, productivity, and turnaround-time (TAT) targets.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

Required Skills

- 1–2 years of experience in US Healthcare Payment Posting / Medical Billing / RCM.
- Good understanding of the US healthcare revenue cycle.
- Understanding of insurance payment and adjustment processes.
- Basic knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and healthcare billing software.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with EPIC, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Kareo, or other medical billing/RCM systems.
- Experience working with multiple US insurance payers.
- Knowledge of denial management and accounts receivable processes.
- Previous experience in a US healthcare BPO/KPO or RCM organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred, although relevant US healthcare/RCM experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
