Position: Business Finance Manager / Senior Manager
Location: Doddaballapur, Bangalore
Business: Garment / Apparel Business
Function: Finance & Business Finance
Reporting To: Business Head / CFO

Role Objective

To act as a strategic finance partner to the business by driving business profitability, garment costing, pricing, financial planning, MIS, working capital and commercial decision-making. The role will work closely with Sales, Merchandising, Sourcing, Production and Supply Chain teams to improve margins and ensure profitable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Finance & Commercial Partnering

- Partner with the Business Head and commercial teams to drive revenue and profitability.

- Provide financial insights and analysis for key business decisions.

- Monitor business performance against budgets, targets and business plans.

- Identify profitability improvement opportunities and support corrective actions.

2. Garment Costing & Pricing

- Drive garment/product costing covering fabric, trims, processing, stitching, labour, overheads, logistics and other relevant costs.

- Evaluate product-wise and customer-wise profitability.

- Support pricing and negotiation with customers based on cost and margin analysis.

- Analyse costing deviations and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.

- Work closely with Merchandising and Sourcing teams to ensure cost competitiveness.

3. Sales & Customer Profitability

- Track customer-wise, product-wise and order-wise margins.

- Analyse contribution margins and profitability of key accounts.

- Support the Sales/Merchandising team during commercial negotiations.





- Evaluate new business opportunities from a financial and profitability perspective.

4. MIS & Performance Management

- Prepare monthly business MIS covering Revenue, Gross Margin, Contribution, EBITDA, Working Capital and other key KPIs.

- Provide management with actionable insights on business performance.

- Analyse actuals vs. budget/forecast and highlight key variances.

- Develop dashboards and reports for business review meetings.

5. Budgeting & Forecasting

- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for the business.

- Prepare business projections based on order book, capacity, pricing and cost assumptions.

- Track budget utilisation and identify risks/opportunities.

- Support long-term business planning and scenario analysis.

6. Cost & Working Capital Management

- Monitor manufacturing and operating costs and identify areas for cost optimisation.

- Track inventory, receivables, payables and overall working capital.

- Work with cross-functional teams to improve cash conversion and inventory efficiency.

- Support initiatives to improve overall business profitability.

7. Business Analytics & Decision Support

- Develop financial models for new products, customers, projects and business opportunities.

- Conduct ROI, profitability,



break-even and sensitivity analysis.

- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.

- Support strategic initiatives and business expansion projects.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.

- Experience: 0–1 years of relevant experience in Business Finance / Commercial Finance / FP&A.;

- Strong understanding of garment costing, product costing, pricing and margin analysis.

- Experience working closely with Sales, Merchandising, Sourcing and Operations teams.

- Robust analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling; experience with ERP/MIS systems preferred.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
