Hiring | Plant Head – DGM / VP

Ethanol or Distillery Industry | Location: Memar, Ahmedabhad

We are seeking a high-calibre Plant Operations Leader to take end-to-end ownership of a large-scale Ethanol / Distillery manufacturing operation.

This is a strategic and execution-driven leadership role for a professional who has built a strong track record in plant performance, production excellence, operational efficiency, cost leadership, safety and team leadership within the Ethanol & Distillery sector.

The successful candidate will be expected to own plant performance, strengthen systems, build accountability and deliver measurable improvements across the operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end plant operations, production and overall plant performance.
- Drive capacity utilisation, productivity, yield, process efficiency and cost optimisation.
- Oversee Fermentation, Distillation, Dehydration, Utilities, Boiler/Power, ETP/ZLD and related operations.
- Lead Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS and plant support functions.
- Ensure safety, environmental and statutory compliance across the plant.
- Drive energy efficiency, process improvement and reduction of operational losses.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary plant teams with clear accountability and performance ownership.
- Monitor plant KPIs, budgets,



MIS and operational performance.
- Lead shutdowns, commissioning, expansion and plant improvement projects.
- Partner with Senior Management on operational strategy, business performance and growth initiatives.

IDEAL PROFILE

- 15+ years of experience, with substantial experience in Ethanol / Distillery operations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale Ethanol / Distillery operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical understanding of Fermentation, Distillation, Dehydration, Utilities and Plant Engineering.
- Solid exposure to EHS, statutory compliance, cost management and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership, commercial acumen, strategic thinking and execution capability.
- B.E./B.Tech – Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation preferred.

Direct Ethanol / Distillery plant leadership experience is essential. Candidates with only general manufacturing experience will not be considered.
