Job Description: Desktop/Networking Engineer

Designation: Desktop/Networking Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation: Develop and implement new network solutions or enhance the efficiency of existing networks.

Network Maintenance: Maintain and control computer networks and associated computing environments, including systems software, programs software, hardware, and configurations.

Equipment Installation: Install, configure, and provide support for network equipment such as routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.

Security and Networking Expertise: Possess experience in network security, LAN, and WAN to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.

Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify and resolve problems that may arise with computer networks and systems.

Procurement and Management: Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved in network installation.

Firewall and Routing Configuration: Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to optimize network efficiency and security.

Performance Optimization: Maximize network performance through continuous monitoring and troubleshooting.

Software and Hardware Maintenance: Maintain existing software, hardware,



and other network equipment by updating them to the latest firmware releases.

Network Monitoring: Monitor computer networks and systems to identify areas where performance can be improved.

Firmware Updates: Ensure timely updating of network equipment to the latest firmware releases.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT support personnel to address network-related issues.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

Certifications:- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required, (Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred).

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience.

Significant experience working with Linux and Windows servers and network monitoring tools.
