Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Django Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and backend services.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Python and Django, along with practical experience in Django REST Framework, REST APIs, databases, authentication, and backend development.

The candidate will work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Python and Django.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).

- Develop clean, reusable, scalable, and maintainable backend code.

- Design and implement application business logic and backend services.

- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

- Use Django ORM for database operations and optimize database queries.





- Implement authentication, authorization, permissions, and secure API access.

- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

- Debug and resolve application, API, and production issues.

- Identify and improve application performance and database efficiency.

- Write unit and integration tests for backend functionality.

- Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.

- Work with Git/GitHub for version control.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with web/mobile applications.

- Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs.

- Understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

- Contribute to new feature development as well as improvements to existing applications.

- Maintain technical documentation related to APIs and backend functionality.

Requirements

- Required Skills

- - 2+ years of skilled experience in Python/Django development.

- - Strong hands-on knowledge of Python.

- - Strong experience with Django.

- - Positive experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).

- - Strong understanding of REST API development and integration.

- - Good knowledge of:

- - Python OOP concepts

- - Exception handling

- - Functions and modules

- - Decorators





- - List/Dictionary comprehensions

- - Python data structures

- - Good understanding of Django ORM, Models, Views, Serializers, URLs, Middleware, and Django Admin.

- - Strong SQL knowledge.

- - Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL or similar relational databases.

- - Experience with Git/GitHub

- - Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

- - Understanding of application security and authentication.

- - Good communication and teamwork skills.

- - Experience with Celery and Redis.

- - Knowledge of JWT authentication / OAuth2.

- - Experience with Docker.

- - Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.

- - Experience with Nginx and Gunicorn.

- - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

- - Experience with pytest / unittest.

- - Knowledge of microservices architecture.

- - Experience with background jobs and task queues.

- - Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- - Experience with Swagger / OpenAPI for API documentation.

- - Exposure to FastAPI or Flask.

- - Basic understanding of AI/ML or integration of AI APIs would be an added advantage.

- Education

- B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
