Position :- Construction Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Construction Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities and site execution across projects.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, within the approved schedule and budget, and according to required quality standards. The role involves managing site teams, labour, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and coordinating with Project Managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Construction Execution

- Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites.

- Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and work schedules.

- Monitor site progress and ensure planned activities are completed within the required timeline.

- Coordinate different construction activities to avoid delays and work interruptions.

- Ensure proper sequencing of construction works.

2. Manpower & Labour Management

- Plan and allocate manpower according to site requirements.

- Monitor labour attendance, productivity, and work allocation.

- Ensure optimum utilization of skilled and unskilled labour.

- Monitor labour productivity and take corrective action where required.

- Coordinate with subcontractors and labour teams for smooth execution.

3. Material & Equipment Management

- Ensure materials are available at site as per construction requirements.

- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams regarding material requirements.

- Monitor material consumption and prevent unnecessary wastage.

- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.

- Report material shortages or delays immediately.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved quality standards.

- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

- Identify defective work and ensure timely rectification.

- Minimize rework and material wastage caused by execution errors.

- Coordinate with engineers/QS/design teams regarding technical and quality issues.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure workers follow all required site safety procedures.

- Monitor use of PPE and protected working practices.

- Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.

- Ensure site housekeeping and safe storage of materials.

- Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns to management.

6. Subcontractor Management

- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors working at the project site.





- Monitor subcontractor work quality, productivity, and progress.

- Ensure subcontractors follow approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.

- Resolve execution-related issues with subcontractors.

- Verify completed work before recommending measurements/payment certification.

7. Progress Monitoring

- Monitor daily and weekly construction progress.

- Compare actual physical progress against the approved construction schedule.

- Identify delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.

- Take corrective actions to recover delayed activities.

- Submit regular construction progress reports to management.

8. Site Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, QS, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, and clients.

- Attend site meetings and discuss execution-related matters.

- Communicate site requirements and constraints to the concerned departments.

- Ensure proper communication between office and site teams.

9. Cost & Productivity Control

- Monitor construction activities to ensure execution remains within approved cost limits.

- Control labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor-related costs.

- Identify unnecessary expenditure and wastage.

- Improve site productivity and reduce avoidable construction costs.

10. Handover & Completion

- Ensure all construction activities are completed as per approved requirements.

- Coordinate snag/punch-list rectification.

- Ensure site is properly cleaned and ready for handover.

- Support the Project Manager in achieving timely and defect-free project handover.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
