Job Description – MEP Draftsman

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman with 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating MEP drawings and providing site-related drawing clarifications as required by the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed MEP drawings based on design specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP services.
- Review engineering drawings and prepare accurate construction drawings.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other services.
- Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and coordination issues.
- Update drawings based on site conditions and design changes.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, standards, and constructability.
- Support site and engineering teams with technical drawing clarifications.
- Prepare and maintain shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Complete drawings within project schedules and deadlines.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.




- Good knowledge of MEP or any one MEP stream and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of relevant MEP standards and practices.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM.
- Positive understanding of MEP coordination and clash resolution.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant MEP Drafting experience.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Strong experience in MEP projects.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, semiconductor, data center, or large-scale MEP projects.
- Ability to independently handle drawings from design stage through execution.
- Experience coordinating with engineers, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
