We are expanding our backend engineering group and need a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to set direction and deliver reliable services. You will architect Java microservices on Azure Cloud and Serverless, integrate RESTful APIs, and uphold security and quality via reviews and CI/CD—apply now.

Responsibilities

- Create enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Architect and implement microservices solutions deployed on cloud platforms
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Guide code reviews and offer technical direction to engineering team members
- Shape architectural decisions to ensure quality, security, reliability and compliance
- Adopt Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
- Operate and improve CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
- Resolve complex technical issues spanning the full application stack
- Leverage containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services

Requirements





- Significant hands-on experience (5+ years) designing and developing with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE
- Advanced expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL
- Demonstrated background in microservices architecture, Azure Cloud and Serverless
- Practical proficiency with Kubernetes, including pods, containers, services and Istio
- Hands-on experience using Docker and Redis
- Ability to build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
- Experience with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Nice to have

- UI knowledge including HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Background in performance tuning and DevOps
- Skill in implementing UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions aligned with industry patterns
