Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced STP Operator / Technician with hospital experience to operate and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper plant operation, routine maintenance, water-quality monitoring, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the hospital's Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) on a daily basis.
- Monitor pumps, blowers, motors, tanks, valves, and other STP equipment.
- Check and maintain proper functioning of the treatment process.
- Monitor water levels, flow, pH, and other basic water-quality parameters.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of STP equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and operational issues.
- Maintain proper records of STP operation, readings, maintenance, and chemical usage.
- Ensure timely cleaning and maintenance of tanks, filters, pumps, and related equipment.
- Handle chemicals safely and follow prescribed safety procedures.




- Coordinate with maintenance teams and external service providers when required.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety procedures and applicable environmental requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the STP area.
- Immediately report major breakdowns, abnormal readings, or safety concerns to the concerned supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of STP experience in a hospital is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of STP operations and wastewater treatment processes.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers, valves, and electrical panels.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot common STP operational issues.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and workplace safety.
- Ability to maintain operational records and checklists.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
