Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer with 4+ years of experience to lead the development of high-throughput, scalable backend systems. You will build resilient data pipelines, leverage advanced MongoDB streaming, manage distributed architectures, and actively use cutting-edge AI tools (Cursor AI, Claude) to accelerate engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- High-Performance Services: Design, build, and optimize low-latency RESTful APIs and microservices using Express / Node.js.
- Streaming & Data Pipelines: Implement end-to-end data streaming using Node.js Streams (stream.pipeline)*, WebSockets, and MongoDB Cursor/Change Streams* for large-scale data processing without memory bloat.
- Distributed Architecture: Integrate RabbitMQ for event-driven message queuing and Redis for distributed caching, locking, and rate limiting.
- AI Integration & Workflow: Utilize modern AI-assisted tools (Cursor AI, GitHub, Claude) for rapid code generation, refactoring, and debugging.
- Database Optimization: Architect complex MongoDB schemas, maintain optimal compound indexes (ESR rule), and troubleshoot execution plans (explain()).
- Performance Tuning: Diagnose Event Loop lag, manage backpressure, eliminate memory leaks, and offload CPU-heavy operations using Worker Threads.

Must-Have Qualifications





- 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend engineering using Node.js and Express.
- Advanced MongoDB & Streaming Knowledge: Deep understanding of MongoDB aggregation pipelines, index design, Change Streams, and streaming large datasets using Node.js native streams without OOM crashes.
- Message Queues & Caching: Strong background with RabbitMQ (Dead Letter Queues, manual ACKs, backpressure control) and Redis (Lua scripts, Cache-Aside pattern, Pub/Sub).
- AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience using AI-first coding tools (Cursor AI, GitHub Claude) in daily workflows.
- System Design & Performance: Experience in horizontal scaling, load balancing, thread pool optimization, and monitoring Event Loop metrics.
- Data Security & Auth: Expertise in JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, and secure handling of workplace configurations.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern ORMs (e.g., Prisma, Mongoose).
- Cloud deployment experience (AWS S3, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation pipelines.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹1,631,051.98 per month
