Job Title: Purchase AssistantJob Summary

The Purchase Assistant is responsible for supporting the procurement process by preparing purchase orders, maintaining records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic knowledge of supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services as per company requirements
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and follow up on approvals
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier details
- Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies
- Compare supplier quotations and support cost analysis
- Track inventory levels and notify management of shortages
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply issues
- Assist in negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers (if required)
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance





Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
- Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Positive communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Tally
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement
- Familiarity with vendor management and inventory systems
