Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Structural Engineer with 3 to 5 years of

experience in structural design review, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and asset management of

roads. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of structural behaviour, design

principles, relevant Indian standards and codes, and practical site execution challenges. Experience in

Detailed structural design is highly preferred.

The role primarily involves assessment, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, design review, and

technical coordination for operational infrastructure assets and structures. The candidate should be

capable of identifying structural deficiencies, recommending technically sound and cost-effective

solutions, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Review & Design Coordination

- Thoroughly review structural designs, calculations, drawings, reports, and technical

Submissions prepared by consultants.

- Verify compliance with applicable IRC Codes, IS Codes, MoRTH specifications, and other

relevant standards and guidelines.

- Evaluate structural adequacy, constructability, durability, and long-term performance of

structures.

- Coordinate effectively with Detailed Designers, Proof Consultants, Independent Engineers,

Authority Engineers, Contractors, and Site Teams during design development and

construction stages.

- Resolve design-related issues arising during project execution and maintenance activities.

Structural Assessment, Repair & Rehabilitation





- Conduct structural condition assessments and inspections of bridges, buildings, retaining

structures, culverts, and other civil infrastructure assets.

- Identify structural defects, deterioration mechanisms, and distress symptoms.

- Analyze root causes of structural deficiencies and recommend suitable repair, strengthening,

rehabilitation, and retrofitting measures.

- Proactively learns and understands diverse NDT techniques and their practical site

applications, and supports project teams by interpreting results and guiding

implementation in compliance with relevant Indian codal provisions and industry

standards.

- Develop technically sound, economical, practical, and sustainable maintenance strategies in

line with relevant codal provisions and industry best practices.

- Review and monitor repair methodologies and rehabilitation works executed on site

Operations & Maintenance (O&M;)

- Support lifecycle management and maintenance planning of infrastructure assets.

- Evaluate maintenance requirements and recommend preventive and corrective actions.

- Assist in prioritization of maintenance interventions based on structural condition, risk, and

asset criticality.





- Ensure maintenance and rehabilitation solutions focus on durability, safety, sustainability,

and cost optimization.

Site Support & Stakeholder Management

- Undertake site visits and inspections whenever required.

- Provide technical support during construction, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation

activities.

- Coordinate with project stakeholders including consultants, contractors, vendors, authorities,

and client representatives.

- Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, condition assessment reports, and

recommendations.

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM)

- Possess knowledge of Structural Health Monitoring concepts and applications.

- Interpret monitoring data and support condition-based maintenance and decision-making

processes.

- Assist in evaluation and implementation of SHM systems for critical structures.

Technical Requirements

Mandatory Skills

- Robust understanding of structural behavior and load transfer mechanisms.

- Hands-on knowledge of relevant IRC Codes, IS Codes, MoRTH specifications, and applicable

design guidelines.

- Ability to review structural calculations, design reports, and construction drawings

independently.

- Knowledge of condition assessment methodologies for concrete and steel structures.

- Understanding of repair, rehabilitation, retrofitting, and strengthening techniques.

- Familiarity with construction practices and site engineering challenges.

- Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
