The Role

As a Community & Ecosystem Development Executive, you will be one of the faces of CDPG outside the organisation. You will attend conferences, summits, roundtables and industry events, introduce people to CDPG’s work, identify opportunities for collaboration, and build a strong network of relevant stakeholders.

This is a role for someone who enjoys meeting people, starting conversations and making things happen.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Networking

- Represent CDPG at conferences, summits, exhibitions, workshops and other relevant events.
- Proactively meet and engage with government officials, industry leaders, academics, researchers, startups, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts relevant to CDPG’s work.
- Identify individuals and organisations that could become potential partners, speakers, collaborators or members of the CDPG ecosystem.
- Follow up with contacts after events and convert conversations into meaningful engagements.

Events & Outreach

- Identify relevant events where CDPG should have a presence.
- Support CDPG’s participation in conferences, including registrations, speaker coordination, meetings and on-ground outreach.
- Help organise CDPG’s own events, roundtables and community initiatives.
- Ensure CDPG is well represented and visible at external events.




- Support outreach and promotion of CDPG initiatives, reports, articles and events.

Relationship Building

- Develop relationships with event organisers, industry associations, academic institutions, government bodies and other ecosystem organisations.
- Look for opportunities for CDPG to participate in panels, speaking sessions, partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
- Maintain a structured database of contacts, conversations and follow-ups.
- Track opportunities and ensure timely follow-through.

Communication & Content

- Clearly and confidently communicate CDPG’s work to different audiences.
- Draft short outreach messages, emails and follow-ups.
- Work with the communications team to amplify CDPG’s presence across relevant platforms.
- Capture useful insights, contacts and opportunities emerging from events.

- Positive at building relationships and, importantly, following up and maintaining them.




- Organised and capable of managing multiple conversations, events and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Comfortable interacting with senior professionals and decision-makers.
- Willing to travel within Bengaluru and occasionally outside the city for events and meetings.

What Would Make You Stand Out

- Experience in community building, outreach, partnerships, business development, events, communications or public relations.
- Existing familiarity with Bengaluru’s technology, startup, policy or academic ecosystem.
- Experience representing an organisation at conferences or industry events.
- Strong networking skills and an existing professional network.
- Interest in digital public infrastructure, AI, data governance, cybersecurity or technology policy.
- A demonstrated ability to turn a casual introduction into a meaningful professional relationship.

You will get the opportunity to meet interesting people, attend some of the most relevant conversations around technology and public good, represent CDPG, and help shape the community around our work.

You will work closely with CDPG’s leadership and teams and have considerable scope to build your own network and take ownership of outreach initiatives.
