Senior Associate - Consulting

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI membership completed
Also considered: MBA (Finance) / non-CA finance professionals with relevant experience as Financial Analysts in startups, investment banking firms, or similar finance-focused roles

About the role

Our Consulting desk handles valuations, transaction advisory, virtual CFO/MIS reporting, and the tax positions underneath it all high-judgement, partner-signed work.

We're hiring a Senior Associate to work directly with the Partner (Consulting): take a two-line brief, do the research, build the model or the note, and bring back a defensible draft with the open questions flagged. This isn't a back-office role - you're expected to have a view, and to know where it's weak.

What you'll do

- Build and review DCF, comparable-company, and three-statement financial models; support ESOP and business valuations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS packs and reconciliations for virtual CFO clients
- Support due diligence, fund-raise materials, and data-room prep for transaction mandates
- Research and draft direct-tax positions and notice replies, fully sourced
- Prepare briefs and minutes for the Partner, and chase open items to closure
- Contribute templates and checklists that make the next engagement faster

What you'll need

- Strong Excel skills - formula-driven modelling, no hardcoded outputs, comfortable tracing an inherited workbook




- Solid grounding in Accounting Standards/Ind AS, direct tax (Income-tax Act), and working GST knowledge
- Clear, structured writing - able to explain a finance point in a one-pager
- Comfortable working across Tally or Zoho Books
- Tamil and English fluency for client conversations across Tamil Nadu

Nice to have

- Exposure to ICAI Valuation Standards or due diligence work
- Power Query, basic SQL, or dashboarding experience
- Comfort using AI tools as a drafting/research accelerator
