JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Bending Operator / Bending Setter to set up and operate CNC/NC Press Brake machines for sheet metal components. The role involves machine setting, tooling selection, drawing interpretation, quality inspection, and achieving production targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up CNC/NC Press Brake machines for different sheet metal components.
- Select and install suitable punches, dies, and tooling.
- Set bend angle, bend sequence, back gauge, tonnage, and material parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering and bending drawings.
- Perform first-piece inspection and verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Calculate and verify bend allowance and bend deduction where required.
- Operate machines safely and maintain production output.
- Identify and correct bending defects such as incorrect angles, dimension variation, cracking, and deformation.




- Monitor machine and tooling condition and report abnormalities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain 5S, housekeeping, and workplace safety standards.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, and rejection.
- Support recent component trials and process improvement activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication / press brake bending.
- Good knowledge of CNC/NC Press Brake machines.
- Knowledge of bending tools and tooling selection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Angle Gauge.
- Understanding of sheet metal bending processes, bend allowance, and bend deduction.
- Basic knowledge of CNC control panels and program selection/editing.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot bending defects.
- Experience with MS, SS, Aluminium, or GI sheets is preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and 5S.
