Job Description: Security Officer

Qualifications: Graduate in any stream

Experience: 4+ years

Role

- Monitor and patrol hospital buildings, entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
- Control access to restricted areas and verify identification of staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, security alarms, fire alarms, and other security systems.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, suspicious activities, and emergencies.
- Assist hospital staff in managing aggressive, disruptive, or unauthorized individuals while following hospital procedures.
- Protect patients, visitors, staff, medical equipment, medicines, records, and other hospital property.
- Maintain security at emergency departments, ICU areas, maternity units, pharmacies, and other sensitive areas as required.
- Assist with crowd and visitor management during busy periods or emergencies.
- Conduct regular security checks and report safety hazards, unauthorized access, or suspicious activity.
- Respond to fire alarms and other emergency situations and assist with evacuation procedures when required.




- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily security logs, and records of unusual events.
- Assist patients and visitors with directions and provide information in a polite and qualified manner.
- Support hospital staff during emergency situations and coordinate with police, fire services, ambulance personnel, or other authorities when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, hospital operations, and security-related information.
- Follow all hospital policies, security procedures, safety regulations, and applicable laws.
- Perform other security-related duties assigned by the security supervisor or hospital management.

- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or difficult situations.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
