Job Description: Store Assistant (Manufacturing)Job Summary

The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day store and inventory operations in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures proper receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of raw materials, components, tools, and finished goods, including accurate preparation and maintenance of GRN (Goods Receipt Notes).

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming raw materials, components, consumables, and finished goods as per purchase orders.
- Verify material quantity, quality, and specifications against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Prepare and process GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in ERP / manual systems promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate with Quality and Purchase departments for inspection and GRN approval, if applicable.
- Store materials in designated locations following FIFO and store layout guidelines.
- Issue materials to production departments against authorized material requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP systems, stock registers, and bin cards.
- Assist in periodic stock verification, cycle counts,



and physical inventory audits.
- Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged, or rejected materials and report to the Store In-Charge.
- Ensure proper labeling, identification, handling, and preservation of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with store SOPs and safety standards.
- Support smooth coordination between stores, purchase, production, and accounts teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma / Graduate (any discipline).
- 1–3 years of experience in store or inventory operations in a manufacturing setup.
- Hands-on knowledge of GRN preparation and inventory documentation.
- Understanding of FIFO, inventory control, and material handling practices.
- Experience with ERP systems Tally and MS Excel preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
