Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic and process-driven Assistant Supervisor in Production to join our Electric Vehicle (EV) assembly line. In this role, you will lead shop-floor technicians and line operators to meet daily production targets, maintain high assembly quality standards, minimize line rejections, and ensure strict compliance with plant safety and 5S protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Line Supervision & Target Achievement: Oversee daily vehicle assembly operations (chassis prep, mechanical fitments, wiring harness routing, controller mounting, and battery casing) to hit planned hourly and daily dispatch targets.
- Manpower & Workstation Allocation: Manage line operators, allocate daily tasks based on skill matrices, handle operator attendance, and resolve bottleneck stations quickly to prevent line stoppage.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure operators strictly adhere to SOPs, torque guidelines, routing specifications, and line work instructions.
- Quality & Rejection Control: Coordinate closely with Quality Control / PDI teams to catch defects early, track rework/rejection causes, and take corrective actions.
- Material Coordination:



Liaise with Stores and PPC to ensure smooth kitting and line feeding; flag any component shortages or damaged parts immediately.
- Shop-Floor Discipline & 5S: Enforce shop-floor discipline, clean workstations, proper tool calibration/storage, and standard 5S practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain shift production logs, hourly production boards, breakdown/downtime reports, and operator attendance registers.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of shop-floor line supervision experience.
- Industry Preference: Electric vehicle (EV 2-wheeler/3-wheeler), automobile assembly, auto-ancillary, or light mechanical/electrical assembly plants.

Skills:

- Solid understanding of vehicle assembly steps, wiring harnesses, torque tools, and pneumatic equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills on the shop floor.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel for daily shift reports and production tracking.
