As part of its strategic focus on strengthening its institutional franchise, CDSL is seeking an accomplished professional to drive engagement with institutional market participants and support the expansion of its institutional business.

The Prospect

The position will be responsible for expanding CDSL's presence across institutional market segments, including FPIs, Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, AIFs, PMS providers, Banks and other Financial Institutions. The role requires deep understanding of India's institutional investment ecosystem, strong stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to translate market requirements into strategic business, product and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive business development and market expansion across institutional investor segments.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with custodians, institutional investors, intermediaries and other key market participants.




- Identify opportunities to enhance institutional participation and strengthen CDSL's position within the institutional ecosystem.
- Possess a strong understanding of end-to-end onboarding requirements applicable to institutional investors, including Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs).
- Act as a strategic interface between market participants and internal stakeholders to facilitate onboarding, implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Work closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Product teams to drive technology, process and product enhancements aimed at improving market access, onboarding efficiency and overall experience for institutional investors.
- Represent CDSL at industry forums, conferences and stakeholder engagements.
- Contribute to thought leadership, industry engagement and regulatory advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA from a reputed institution.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in capital markets, institutional business, custody services, securities services, market infrastructure institutions or related domains.
- Experience with Custodians and familiarity with institutional investor onboarding processes will be desirable. institutional ecosystem.
