Pump Fitter – Job Description **Job Title:** Pump Fitter **Department:** Maintenance / Production **Employment Type:** Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a **skilled Pump Fitter** with hands-on experience in dismantling, inspection, repair, maintenance, and assembly of **submersible and monoblock pumps**. The candidate should be able to identify pump-related issues, carry out mechanical maintenance, and ensure pumps are properly assembled and ready for operation. Key Responsibilities * Dismantle and assemble **submersible and monoblock pumps** as per standard procedures. * Inspect pump components such as **impellers, shafts, bearings, mechanical seals, bushes, couplings, and casings**. * Identify worn-out or damaged components and report the requirement for replacement. * Perform routine **pump maintenance, servicing, and repair activities**. * Check proper alignment, fitting, clearance, and tightening of pump components during assembly. * Replace bearings, mechanical seals, gaskets, bushes, impellers, and other mechanical parts when required. * Perform basic troubleshooting of pump vibration, noise, leakage, overheating, and reduced performance. * Use hand tools and workshop tools safely and correctly. * Ensure proper assembly and testing of pumps after maintenance.



* Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area. * Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards. * Coordinate with electricians and maintenance team during pump installation and troubleshooting. * Maintain basic records of pump servicing, repairs, and replaced components. Required Skills & Experience * ITI / Diploma in **Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade** preferred. * Previous experience as a **Pump Fitter / Mechanical Fitter** is preferred. * Hands-on experience with **submersible pumps and monoblock pumps**. * Good knowledge of pump dismantling and assembly procedures. * Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, shafts, impellers, and other pump components. * Ability to use basic mechanical tools and measuring instruments. * Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently as well as with a maintenance team. * Willingness to work in shifts or overtime when required. ### Experience **1–5 years of relevant experience** in pump maintenance, fitting, servicing, or mechanical maintenance preferred.
