The Test / Automation Engineer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining a robust automation framework to support global testing operations. This project aims to enhance engineering productivity, improve testing infrastructure, and ensure high-quality software delivery through advanced automation techniques.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain an automation framework for testing the department's systems globally

Manage, monitor, and improve the infrastructure

Develop custom tools and integrate with existing tools to increase engineering productivity

Define the automation book of work, collaborating with the team to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation

Liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the bank, including international locations

Comply with test strategy, testing standards, templates, and test plans

Skills

Must have

A minimum of 7.5 years of experience is required, with at least 8 years preferred





Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber

Experience in Backend testing with APIs & Microservices

Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot & Spring

Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle

Strong scripting/programming skills in Java & Python

Working experience with SQL and UNIX

Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity)

Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity, code quality, and testing efficiency

Nice to have

Experience in building test automation frameworks

Experience working in a cloud workplace

Experience with cloud databases such as Azure SQL & PostgreSQL

Experience in Banking & Financial Markets
