Naxose Retail is hiring an experienced General Merchandise / Household Category Buyer to manage category buying, vendor relationships, product assortment, pricing, and inventory for our retail stores.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 2 years of relevant Category Buyer / Purchase / General Merchandise experience in a supermarket or hypermarket retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage General Merchandise and Household category buying and procurement.
- Source products, identify suppliers, and develop strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate purchase prices, margins, schemes, discounts, and payment terms.
- Plan product assortment based on customer demand, sales performance, and market trends.
- Monitor sales, margins, stock levels, inventory ageing, and slow-moving products.
- Ensure proper product availability while maintaining optimum inventory.
- Analyse competitor pricing and market trends to support competitive buying.
- Coordinate with stores, warehouse, finance, and operations teams.




- Plan seasonal products, promotions, and current product listings.
- Review vendor performance and ensure timely supply.
- Identify opportunities to improve category sales, margins, and profitability.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Category Buying / Purchase / General Merchandise.
- Supermarket or Hypermarket retail experience is required/preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Household and General Merchandise products.
- Experience in vendor management, purchase negotiation, pricing, and margin management.
- Good understanding of retail buying and inventory management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Candidates with experience in retail chains / supermarket / hypermarket operations will be preferred.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
