Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SPM Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM), automation, and industrial machine design. The candidate should be capable of handling mechanical design activities independently, from concept development to manufacturing and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) according to customer requirements.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Design machine structures, mechanisms, fixtures, jigs, brackets, and assemblies.
- Develop automotive fixtures, cavities, tooling, and component holding arrangements.
- Prepare machine layouts, assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings.
- Apply proper dimensions, tolerances, fits, and GD&T; in engineering drawings.
- Select suitable mechanical and pneumatic components for machine applications.
- Prepare and maintain BOM and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, electrical, and automation teams.
- Identify and correct design issues during manufacturing and machine assembly.
- Modify designs based on trial, testing, and customer requirements.
- Support machine commissioning, debugging,



and design-related corrections.
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and suitable for assembly.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SPM Design and Automation Machine Design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience in fixture, tooling, cavity, and mechanism design.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical components.
- Understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to independently handle design projects.
- Good problem-solving and design modification skills.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant SPM Design experience required.
- Candidates with experience in automotive automation and special-purpose machines will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

- Must have relevant SPM Design Engineer experience.
- Should be able to understand customer requirements and convert them into machine concepts.
- Should have practical knowledge of machine manufacturing and assembly.
- Freshers are not preferred.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
