Position Summary

A premier international school in Thane is seeking an exceptional, future-focused educational leader to serve as Principal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading IB (PYP/MYP) and Cambridge (IGCSE) curricula. The Principal will be responsible for upholding international educational standards, driving inquiry-based pedagogy, ensuring continuous authorization /affiliation compliance, and leading a dynamic team of international educators. Principals without IB and CIE curricula experience can also apply.

Key Responsibilities

- IB & Cambridge Curriculum Leadership
- Oversee the successful execution of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Cambridge IGCSE frameworks.
- Drive inquiry-based learning, transdisciplinary unit planning, interdisciplinary concepts, and student-centered assessment practices.
- Coordinate with IB/Cambridge Coordinators to maintain full authorization status, undergo regular evaluations, and uphold global accreditation standards.
- Integrate STEAM education, research projects, and digital technology into daily classroom learning.
- Faculty Mentorship & Professional Development
- Recruit, mentor, and retain qualified educators trained in IB and Cambridge methodologies.
- Plan and facilitate continuous professional development workshops (including IB workshop participation and CIE training sessions).
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback grounded in international teaching standards.
- Administrative Management & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless administrative efficiency and budget adherence.
- Ensure full operational compliance with IB, CIE, and local government regulatory requirements.




- Oversee state-of-the-art campus infrastructure, including STEAM labs, smart classrooms, and learning resources.
- Student Welfare & Community Engagement
- Champion the IB Learner Profile attributes (Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, Reflective) throughout the school culture.
- Foster transparent, constructive communication with parents through regular updates, workshops, and parent-led forums.
- Promote co-curricular participation, community service (Service as Action/CAS), and holistic child development.

Qualifications & Criteria

- Education:
- Master’s Degree in any academic discipline from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory; M.Ed. or Ph.D. is highly desirable.
- Formal IB / CIE leadership certifications or workshops are preferred but not compulsory. Principals with Indian curriculum experience are open to apply.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10–12 years of total teaching experience in reputed international schools.
- At least 3–5 years of proven leadership experience as a Principal, Vice-Principal, or Head of School in an IB World School or Cambridge International School.
- Core Competencies:
- Deep conceptual knowledge of IB PYP/MYP frameworks and Cambridge IGCSE examination standards.
- Solid skills in educational technology, data-driven student performance tracking, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication; fluency in Hindi or Marathi is advantageous for local community relations.
- Excellent cross-cultural understanding, emotional intelligence, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
