Experience reconciling Power BI metrics against underlying SQL/Lakehouse/Warehouse datasets.

Strong data testing / QA experience across end-to-end data pipelines.

Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Create comprehensive test plans covering the complete data lifecycle from source ingestion to Power BI reporting.

Validate source-to-target mappings, incremental loads, watermarking, schema drift and business transformations.

Test data persistence and consistency across OneLake, Lakehouse and Data Warehouse layers.

Validate Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and PySpark Notebooks.

Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation and aggregate comparisons.

Develop PySpark/Python scripts for automated data validation and regression testing.

Validate Power BI semantic models, relationships, DAX calculations and KPI logic.

Test Power BI RLS, user roles and access permissions.

Validate report performance, slicers,



cross-filtering, drill-downs and visual interactions.

Identify, document and track defects using Jira / Azure DevOps.

Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, analysts and business stakeholders for defect resolution.

Participate in sprint planning, story refinement, test estimation and QA governance.

Support automated quality checks and test gates within Azure DevOps / CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Skills

Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.

Good understanding of ETL/ELT architecture.

Experience with Agile methodology.

Experience with Git and defect management tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps.

Experience with automated data quality tools such as Great Expectations, PyTest or BI testing frameworks is an advantage.

Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics exposure is an advantage.

Microsoft certifications such as DP-600, PL-300 or DP-203 are an advantage.

Education

BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (CS) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
