Job Summary

Swatantra News Channel is looking for a confident, articulate, and well-presented News Anchor to join our newsroom team. The candidate will be responsible for presenting news bulletins, conducting interviews, moderating discussions, and delivering news accurately and professionally to the audience.

Key Responsibilities

- Present live and recorded news bulletins in Telugu.
- Research and understand news stories before going on air.
- Read and present news scripts clearly and accurately.
- Conduct live interviews, panel discussions, and debates.
- Coordinate with the Input, Output, Reporting, Video Editing, and Graphics teams.
- Handle breaking news and live updates professionally.
- Interact with reporters and correspondents during live broadcasts.
- Participate in special programs, events, and channel productions.
- Maintain appropriate voice modulation, body language, and on-camera presentation.
- Verify important facts and names before presenting them on air.
- Follow editorial guidelines and maintain professional standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced 24×7 newsroom environment.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Communications, or any relevant field.
- Excellent Telugu communication and pronunciation.




- Good command of English is an advantage.
- Strong general knowledge and awareness of current affairs.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in front of a camera.
- Ability to handle live situations and breaking news.
- Good voice modulation and interview skills.

Preferred Experience

- 1–5 years of experience as a News Anchor / TV Anchor / News Presenter.
- Experience in a Telugu News Channel will be preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication and presentation skills may also be considered.
