Position: Senior Planning Manager
Department: Planning / Production & Supply Chain

Salary: ₹35,000/- to ₹50,000/- per month as per experience

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Manager with strong experience in electrical/electronics manufacturing to manage and coordinate the complete planning cycle from customer/vendor order receipt through material procurement, stores, production planning, dispatch and final delivery to the customer.

The candidate will be responsible for advanced planning, material availability analysis, production scheduling, manpower planning, order prioritization and timely order execution using Focus ERP Software.

Key Responsibilities1. Order & Overall Planning

- Review incoming customer/vendor orders and prepare an overall execution plan.
- Analyse order quantities, required delivery dates, product specifications and production requirements.
- Convert sales orders into detailed production and material plans.
- Prioritize orders based on delivery commitments and production capacity.
- Continuously monitor order status from order receipt to final dispatch.

2. Material Planning & Purchase Coordination

- Analyse Bill of Materials (BOM) and calculate material requirements for planned production.
- Check current stock, pending purchase orders, material in transit and expected receipts.
- Identify material shortages in advance and coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely procurement.
- Prepare advance material requirement plans to avoid production stoppages.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores teams regarding material availability and shortages.

3. Stores & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with the Stores Department to verify raw material availability.
- Monitor material receipts, issues and stock balances.
- Identify slow-moving, excess and shortage materials.
- Ensure required materials are available before releasing production plans.
- Maintain proper coordination between Planning,



Purchase, Stores and Production.

4. Production Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Plan production according to available manpower, machine capacity, material availability and customer delivery dates.
- Allocate production priorities according to urgent and committed orders.
- Monitor actual production against planned production.
- Analyse production delays and immediately revise plans where required.
- Coordinate with Production Heads/Supervisors to achieve planned output.

5. Manpower Planning

- Analyse manpower availability against production requirements.
- Prepare manpower-based production plans.
- Identify manpower shortages that may affect delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with HR and Production departments regarding manpower requirements.
- Re-plan production when manpower availability changes.

6. Focus ERP Software

- Handle planning activities through Focus ERP Software.
- Maintain and monitor sales orders, production plans, material requirements and inventory-related planning data.
- Generate planning and MIS reports through ERP.
- Analyse ERP data for material availability, production status and pending orders.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of planning information in the ERP system.

7. Delivery & Order Monitoring

- Track every order against its committed delivery date.
- Monitor order progress from Sales Order → Material Planning → Purchase → Stores → Production → Finished Goods → Dispatch → Customer Delivery.
- Identify potential delivery delays in advance and take corrective planning actions.
- Provide regular order status updates to Management and concerned departments.

8. Advanced Planning & Analysis

- Develop advance production and material plans based on future orders and expected requirements.
- Conduct capacity planning based on machines, manpower and material availability.
- Maintain contingency plans for material shortages,



manpower shortages and production delays.
- Analyse production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly planning reports for Management review.

Key Coordination Areas

The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for effective coordination between:

Sales → Planning → Purchase → Stores → Production → Quality → Finished Goods → Dispatch → Customer

The objective is to ensure that the right material is available at the right time, production is planned according to available resources, and customer orders are completed within the committed delivery schedule.

Required Skills

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Planning in an Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Strong understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Experience in BOM, inventory, material planning and production scheduling.
- Robust ERP knowledge; experience with Focus ERP will be preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of Excel and MIS reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of production capacity and manpower planning.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to identify future requirements and plan materials and production in advance.
- Ability to work under delivery pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Educational Qualification

B.Tech / B.E. – Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing planning experience.
- Candidates from Electrical, LED Lighting, Electronics, Electrical Components or similar manufacturing industries are preferred.
- Should have hands-on experience in end-to-end planning and cross-functional coordination.
- Should be capable of independently handling the complete planning cycle from order receipt to final customer delivery.

Salary

₹35,000/- to ₹50,000/- per month

Salary will be based on experience, skills and suitability for the position.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
