Job Description

ELV BIM Modeler (Revit) is responsible for creating, developing, and coordinating detailed 3D BIM models for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems using Autodesk Revit. The role includes preparing Approval/GFC drawings, developing coordinated ELV layouts, resolving clashes, extracting quantities, and ensuring project deliverables comply with project specifications, client requirements, and BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate and coordinate the following ELV system layouts:
- Structured cabling system (Data & Voice) layouts
- CCTV surveillance system layouts
- Access control system layouts
- Intrusion detection system layouts
- Public Address (PA) system layouts
- Fire Alarm system layouts
- Audio-Visual (AV) system layouts
- SMATV/IPTV system layouts
- Building Management System (BMS) interfaces and layouts
- ELV containment layouts including cable trays, trunking, conduits, and accessories

- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) layouts for ELV services, including plans, sections, elevations, and 3D views.
- Develop and update ELV BIM models based on design inputs, engineer comments, and project requirements.




- Prepare system schematics, riser diagrams, and coordination drawings as required.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support the resolution of interdisciplinary coordination issues.
- Extract quantities from BIM models and Navisworks for material take-offs (BOQ) and project estimation purposes.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD requirements, client standards, local authority regulations, and project specifications.
- Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support BIM Coordinators, ELV Engineers, and Project Teams during design development, coordination, and construction stages.
- Manage model revisions and updates and ensure timely delivery of project BIM deliverables.

Required Skills

- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in ELV systems modeling and coordination.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows, standards, and LOD requirements.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination processes.
- Ability to read and interpret ELV design drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
