Job Description – Junior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounting entries, assisting with GST and TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, and supporting the senior accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

- Record daily accounting transactions in the accounting software.
- Prepare and maintain sales, purchase, receipt, payment, and journal entries.
- Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
- Perform bank reconciliation and resolve differences.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare and verify invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and supporting documents.
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments when required.
- Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory accounting activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Assist in monthly closing and preparation of account statements.
- Support the senior accountant in preparing MIS and financial reports.
- Verify bills, expenses, and supporting documents before processing.
- Coordinate with sales, purchase, stores, and other departments for accounting-related requirements.




- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of Tally / ERP accounting software.
- Good understanding of GST and TDS basics.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Educational Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Candidates with relevant accounting experience will be preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of accounting entries.
- Timely completion of bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Accuracy of GST/TDS-related data.
- Timely submission of required reports.
- Proper maintenance of financial documents and records.
- Reduction of accounting errors and outstanding reconciliation issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be honest, disciplined, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. The candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting and be capable of handling routine accounting activities with accuracy and responsibility.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
