Key Accountability NAcademic Nn Responsible to conduct lectures as per the assigned workload N Assist the Associate Professor, Professor, HOS in developing the Bioengineering curriculum N Active participation inacademic and examination duty N Conduct practicals, laboratory sessions, and tutorials as per the assigned schedule N Responsible for settingup question papers N Participate in organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, FDPs, and technical symposiums N Understand the skills relevant in the biomedical/biotech industry job market and provide insights to professors and HOS N Organize various training programs for students to develop technical and soft skills N Organize study tours/industry visits to hospitals, biotech companies, and research labs for required student exposure NnResearch Development Nn Expected to show a high level of proficiency in research in Bioengineering and allied areas (Biomedical Devices, Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Medical Imaging, etc.) N Responsible to write research papers N Responsible for publishing papers nationally/internationally in peer-reviewed journals and conferences N Be a co-investigator for writing research proposals and securing grants N Encourage students to write research papers and participate in project competitions NnStrategic Nn Support in the execution of the strategic plan of the school NnOperational Nn Participate in student-related activities such as NCC, student welfare, ASG, cultural and technical events, and counseling/mentoring students N Actively participate during admissions of students and counsel N Responsible to work closely with students on various academic and research/lab projects N Supervise during examinations N Actively be a part of organizing convocation N Accompany students for rural immersion programs, study tours, yoga, internships, hospital/clinical visits,

Person Specification NDesired Qualification and Experience Nn Preferably a Ph.D. in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering/allied disciplines N Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in M.Tech/M.E. Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Biotechnology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university N Bachelor's degree in B.Tech/B.E. Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Biotechnology preferred as the qualifying undergraduate discipline N Preferably should be NET/SET/SLET or GATE qualified as applicable N A person without a Ph.D. but having a relevant Master's Degree in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering can be considered based on their industry experience. Minimum relevant experience required: 0 to 5 years NnSubstantial leadership and management experience Nn A solid commitment to MIT-WPU and its vision, ambitions, and values NnPersonal attributes and style Nn Should possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) N Sound knowledge of biomedical technologies, laboratory practices, and emerging trends in Bioengineering Nn
