We are looking for a dynamic and driven Senior PR Executive – BFSI to join our Mumbai team and work on exciting communication mandates for leading brands in the financial services ecosystem.

As a Senior PR Executive, you will work closely with account managers and senior team members to develop stories, engage with journalists, manage media opportunities and execute strategic communication programmes for BFSI clients.

This is an opportunity to build strong expertise in financial PR, media relations and corporate communications while working with experienced professionals and senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Media Relations

· Build and maintain strong relationships with business, financial, mainstream, digital and trade journalists.

· Conduct proactive media outreach and pitch relevant stories to journalists.

· Identify the right media and journalist for different client narratives.

· Coordinate media interactions, interviews, briefings and journalist engagements.

· Track journalist requirements and proactively identify opportunities for clients.

· Follow up effectively with media while maintaining strong and professional relationships.

· Ensure consistent and quality media engagement for assigned accounts.

BFSI & Financial PR

· Develop a strong understanding of the BFSI ecosystem, including:

o Banking

o NBFCs

o Insurance

o Fintech

o Mutual Funds

o Wealth Management

o Asset Management

o Capital Markets

· Stay updated on financial markets, business news, economic developments, regulatory changes and industry trends.

· Identify relevant news developments and convert them into potential PR opportunities.

· Understand client businesses and identify stories that can generate meaningful media interest.

· Track competitor communication and industry conversations.

Content Development

· Draft and develop high-quality PR and communication content, including:

o Press releases

o Media pitches

o Media alerts

o Thought-leadership articles

o By-lined articles





o Interview briefs

o Q&As;

o Key messages

o Talking points

o Corporate announcements

· Conduct research and develop strong story angles for clients.

· Simplify complex financial and business subjects into clear and compelling narratives.

· Ensure all content is accurate, well researched and aligned with the client's communication objectives.

Client Servicing

· Support Account Managers and senior team members in managing client relationships.

· Participate in client calls and meetings.

· Understand client requirements and ensure timely execution of deliverables.

· Maintain regular communication with clients and internal teams.

· Prepare media plans, coverage reports, status updates and communication calendars.

· Proactively flag opportunities, challenges and important developments to the account lead.

Thought Leadership & Executive Profiling

· Support the development of thought-leadership programmes for CEOs, MDs, CXOs and senior executives.

· Identify opportunities for leadership interviews, expert commentary, authored articles, panels and industry forums.

· Research relevant topics and develop strong talking points and communication material for senior spokespeople.

· Track industry conversations and identify opportunities for clients to participate in them.

Monitoring & Reporting

· Monitor daily media coverage and relevant industry developments.

· Track client mentions, competitors and key BFSI conversations.

· Prepare daily/weekly media updates and monthly coverage reports.

· Analyse coverage for quality, messaging and relevance.

· Maintain accurate media databases and account trackers.

Team Collaboration

· Work closely with Account Managers and senior team members to execute account strategies.

· Take ownership of assigned deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.

· Support junior team members wherever required.

· Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and account strategy discussions.

· Maintain high standards of quality across all deliverables.

What We're Looking For

· 2–4 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Strategic Communications.

· Prior experience handling BFSI/financial services clients is strongly preferred.

· Strong understanding of business and financial media.

· Existing relationships with relevant journalists will be an advantage.





· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong English writing and editing abilities.

· Valuable understanding of current affairs, business news and financial markets.

· Ability to understand complex business subjects and convert them into simple, compelling stories.

· Strong media pitching and relationship-building skills.

· Good client-servicing skills.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments and work within tight deadlines.

· Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced PR agency environment.
