Overall Responsibility

- Conduct detailed analysis of listed equities and make investment recommendations.
- Research and evaluate industry trends, company performance, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and risk factors to support investment decisions.
- Analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a robust understanding of multiple sectors.
- Effectively communicate research findings and investment ideas to internal teams and external clients.
- The role may be expanded in the future to include Buy-Side Research responsibilities.
- Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a quick-paced environment.
- Collaborate closely with analysts and other departments, including Trading, Sales, and Technology, to integrate sector insights into broader investment strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's / Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- CFA Level II or III qualification will be preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in sector analysis, equity research, or a related field, preferably within an equity broking firm.
- Prior experience with financial institutions, investment firms, consulting firms, or corporate finance teams will be preferred.

Key Skills – Financial Modelling & Valuation

- Analyze financial statements, business models, and strategic initiatives of companies.




- Assess company performance, profitability, growth potential, market trends, competitive dynamics, and risk factors.
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and key financial metrics and ratios.
- Evaluate the impact of macroeconomic factors, geopolitical developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements on sector and stock performance.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including DCF and multiple-based valuations.
- Basic knowledge of technical analysis, including moving averages.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and objectivity in all research outputs.
- Interact with company management, including participation in earnings calls, investor meetings, and roadshows.

Research Reports & Presentation

- Prepare comprehensive research reports and sector analyses with clear outlooks and investment recommendations.
- Present research findings and investment ideas to internal teams and external clients.
- Our current focus is on HNI & UHNI clients; therefore, the candidate should be able to communicate investment ideas clearly and convincingly to sophisticated investors.
- Research quality should meet the standards expected by discerning institutional investors.

Note: Candidates with relevant experience in Stock Broking / Equity Research firms will be preferred.
