Role Description The Senior Career Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This role involves providing one-on-one and group career counseling to job seekers, including international students, fresh graduates, career changers, and experienced professionals. The Senior Career Advisor will assess candidates backgrounds, clarify career goals, create personalized development plans, and guide them in areas such as resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategy. The role includes conducting workshops, webinars, and training sessions on career development topics,



as well as collaborating with internal teams to improve Placera's coaching programs and resources. The Senior Career Advisor will track candidate progress, offer ongoing feedback, and help individuals build confidence and present their skills effectively to employers.
Qualifications

- Strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to support diverse job seekers through personalized guidance.
- Expertise in Career Development and Career Management to design effective career roadmaps and long-term growth strategies.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, or advisory roles, preferably within career services, talent development, or education.
- Ability to work with international candidates and understand U.S. hiring practices, including internships, OPT, STEM, and early-career pathways.
- Comfort facilitating workshops and group sessions, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Career Counseling, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Robust organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on measurable outcomes for candidates.
