Job Description – Java Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our Capital Markets technology team supporting State Street Corporation. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React.js, and database technologies. The role requires hands-on development experience across both backend and frontend technologies, with a strong focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust enterprise applications using Java and React.js.
- Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and industry best practices.
- Build responsive and reusable user interface components using React.js.
- Implement business logic and backend services while ensuring application scalability and performance.
- Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL and Snowflake.
- Utilize JPA and Hibernate frameworks for database persistence and object-relational mapping.
- Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Conduct unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning activities.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps teams.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support deployment, production releases, and issue resolution activities.

Required Experience & Skills





The successful candidate should possess:

- 8+ years of experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above).
- 5+ years of experience in Spring Boot application development.
- 4+ years of experience in Microservices architecture and REST API development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in React.js development.
- Strong experience with JPA and Hibernate frameworks.
- Solid expertise in SQL and database development.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Snowflake.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, Design Patterns, and software engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain, preferably Capital Markets.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
