Job Title: Team Lead - Corporate Social Responsibility

Area: TRF - CSR

Location: New Delhi

Reports to: Manager of The Rotary Foundation

General Overview

This position supports the Foundation team, responsible for CSR program at Rotary International. You will have the opportunity to act as an internal and external resource on the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) besides monitoring key trends, competitive activity, and other issues of interest to the company. Responsible for managing CSR grant files. Your contribution will serve RSLs, Regional/zonal Coordinators, Club and district leadership, corporates, and government agencies, as required.

You Will Have

- Bachelor's degree in social sector, preferably post graduate in management /humanities from recognized university
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Corporate Social Responsibility teams of corporate houses or a reputed NGO
- Experience managing people and an interest in supporting their professional development and career growth.

You Are Good At

- Have exposure in CSR and Sustainability and be well-versed in current trends in this discipline.
- Experience in writing proposals and reports for CSR. Prior experience in contract review will be preferred.
- Ability to actively interact and communicate with stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in English and an additional Indian language.
- Maintain proper files and assist in internal and external audits.
- Be proactive on follow-up and should be aware of documentation requirements from CSR policy framework and create a report that can be used in the annual report of the donor company.
- Think critically and be a problem solver. Team oriented and ability to work independently.
- Positive working skills and knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable programs).

You Will Be Responsible For

- Reach out to corporates in India for CSR funding in conjunction with Rotarians as well as independently.
- Review the grant proposal received from the corporate and/or a Rotary club or district.as per RFI CSR guidelines and approve the proposal with all the related documentation in place
- Help prepare a business presentation along with requisite annexures with donors highlighting RF(I) projects, including results, and expertise in handling the projects.
- Works with RSLs, RFI CSR Sub-committee, Rotary Zonal/regional and district leadership to strengthen Rotarian's knowledge of Foundation programs,



particularly CSR specific projects in the region.
- Develops and delivers presentations at Regional, Zonal, District and club events and other meetings as assigned.
- Responsible for reviewing the CSR portfolio, program requirements, application and reporting formats to ensure that the program is aligned with its Theory of Change and that Rotary members are monitoring and sharing results. Works with SOA and WHQ leadership to recommend enhancements.
- Review and approve the agreements between corporate and RFI as also implementing club(s) in case of a tripartite agreement before putting up to Secretary, RFI for signatures on behalf of RFI. Work with the corporate, Legal department and/or Rotary clubs and districts in finalizing the MOUs and statutory agreements.
- Work with TRF-CSR staff at SAO/WHQ on the application process, pre- implementation process and any other procedure laid down from time to time.
- Monitor government CSR guidance and compliance requirements and make recommendations to ensure internal CSR guidelines are aligned and efficient
- Work in tandem with the Financial Services (FS) team at SAO and WHQ, as required.
- Respond to CSR grant queries from Rotarians and coordinate all the activities between WHQ staff (if any) and project contacts.
- Works with club/ districts to resolve all outstanding issues and issues closure letters when grants are compliant & complete.
- Updating database for CSR contributions, Reports, Admin fee and other related reports.
- Work on all the CSR communication materials like CSR Brochure, program videos, CSR webpage of RFI website, Annual Report and SOPs for CSR
- Ensure that all required documentation, approvals and compliance requirements are completed before grants are recommended for approval. Ensure that grant approvals and payments are processed within prescribed timelines
- Work closely with donor services team for processing of all CSR related recognitions.
- Review and update benchmarks and SOPs, team manuals annually or as needed based on policy changes.
- Sharing of CSR amendment rules to SRL, Rotary Clubs/Districts and internal teams




- Provide updates to corporate donors for all grants funded by them.
- Be thoroughly informed on current Rotary Foundation programs and policies with a view to providing accurate information to Rotarians, Rotary Senior and zonal Leaders and HQ colleagues.
- Responsible for checking, verifying and reporting the jobs undertaken by his/her direct report(s) to his /her reporting supervisor/manager
- Design and manage the CSR information kiosk at RISAO, including regularly updating content to showcase CSR projects.
- Supervising the CSR coordinators, correspondent and any temporary staff, ensuring a unified approach to grant processing, member communications, learning and development,meetings and events,and opportunities for process improvements.
- Foster a proactive and collaborative team culture by encouraging team members to take on additional responsibilities in alignment with the organization's core values
- In the event of performance/ discipline related issues concerning his/ her direct report(s), takes full responsibility in improving performance and in supporting organizational action against any acts of misconduct
- Lead the implementation of new CSR initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and maintaining strong external communication with stakeholders.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan to promote CSR programs and initiatives by demonstrating the results of CSR projects and Rotary member action.
- Support the Rotary Senior Leaders in managing CSR awards and recognition programs, including nomination processes, documentation, and event coordination.
- Remain updated on all local laws pertaining to CSR and coordinate with all stakeholders for any amendment needed
- Work with external consultant from time to time to review any component of the CSR program that may require review and modification
