About the Role

TIS runs makerspace and innovation programmes inside schools. As Program Manager, you will

lead the programme end to end at an IB partner school (PYP and MYP). You will build and run

the makerspace, manage a multi-disciplinary team of mentors, and deliver a curriculum that

connects coding, electronics, AI, and robotics to classroom learning. You are the main link

between TIS and the school, and you are accountable for the quality, outcomes, and growth of

the programme.

Key Responsibilities

Programme leadership

● Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the school innovation programme across Grades 1 to 10.

● Scale the makerspace, including layout, tools, safety systems, inventory, and daily operations.

● Plan the academic year: term plans, timetables, events, and milestones aligned with the school calendar.

● Define success metrics and track progress against them.

Team management

● Lead and mentor a team of program mentors across three strands: Makerspace, ICT/AI Curriculum, and Robotics/Competitions.

● Assign responsibilities, set clear expectations for shifts and deliverables, and maintain workload balance.

● Run regular team check-ins, give constructive feedback, and support professional growth.

● Coordinate with HR on hiring, onboarding, interns, and replacements to keep the team fully staffed.

Curriculum and academic alignment

● Oversee design and refinement of the ICT/AI and makerspace curriculum, including lesson plans, project guides, and assessments.

● Ensure programme content fits the IB PYP and MYP frameworks and supports inquiry-based, project-led learning.

● Work with school coordinators and teachers to integrate the programme with classroom units.

Robotics and competitions

● Oversee student participation in robotics and technology competitions such as VEX, FRC, FTC, and NRL.

● Manage team formation, mentor allocation, registrations, budgets and event logistics.

Events and student showcases

● Plan and deliver school-wide events such as MakerFest,



exhibitions, visits and workshops.

● Support Student-Led Conferences by preparing the makerspace and student projects.

Stakeholder and partner management

● Act as the primary point of contact for school leadership, coordinators, and the founder's office.

● Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for school and TIS leadership.

● Build and manage partnerships with universities, industry, and ecosystem organisations for outreach, venues, and knowledge sharing.

Operations, budget, and reporting

● Plan and manage programme budgets, procurement, vendors, and equipment.

● Maintain documentation, dashboards, and records of student progress, projects, and outcomes.

● Identify risks early and resolve issues across people, resources, and timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).

● 4-6 years of experience in programme or project management, ideally in education, edtech, or STEM/innovation.

● Proven experience leading and mentoring a team.

● Working knowledge of robotics, electronics, coding, or makerspace environments.

● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including with school leadership and external partners.

● Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

Positive to Have

● Familiarity with IB PYP/MYP or other inquiry-based curricula.

● Experience running robotics competitions or student showcase events.

● Experience setting up a makerspace, fab lab, or innovation lab.

● Basic knowledge of AI/ML education for school students.

● Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and impact reporting.
