Job Description:

The Assistant Chemist – Laboratory will be responsible for conducting chemical analysis and quality testing of raw materials, process materials and finished steel products. The candidate will work closely with the QC/QA and Production teams to ensure that materials meet the required chemical and quality specifications.

- Robust knowledge of basic chemistry and analytical techniques
- Good observation and analytical skills
- Accurate documentation and reporting
- Basic MS Excel/Computer knowledge
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
- Good teamwork and communication
- Safety-conscious approach
- Willingness to work in a steel plant/industrial environment

Qualification

Required:

- B.Sc. Chemistry preferred.
- M.Sc. Chemistry will be an advantage.
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology may be considered depending on company requirements.
