Position description: The role involves leading and managing the mechanical operations of the Blast Furnace department at Jindal Ferrous Limited, a key player in the Mining Metals industry. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and safety of blast furnace mechanical systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets. Primary Responsibilities:

- Oversee the mechanical maintenance and operation of blast furnace equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and safety departments to align mechanical operations with overall plant objectives.
- Manage budgeting, procurement, and inventory control for mechanical spare parts and tools.




- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to mechanical operations and maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on mechanical performance, maintenance activities, and project progress to senior management.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and equipment upgrades.
